Registering with Learner Support

We are keen to support you with your transition to university. 

Please complete the Learner Support Registration form if you:

• have a disability or condition requiring support and wish for this to be considered at university.
• have previously received additional exam arrangements.
• would like to access a free screening for a specific learning difference such as dyslexia or ADHD.

We recommend registering as early as possible so that we can provide guidance on next steps and help coordinate support and adjustments.

You may have already been in contact with Learner Support, however, this form allows us to gather most recent information and disclosure details, so that support can be put in place.

What is the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA)?

Students with a disability, including dyslexia, may be eligible for support through the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). These allowances are intended to assist UK students with disabilities, such as an SpLD, long term health condition or mental health condition who are studying in Higher Education. This allowance is not income dependent.

How long does a DSA application take?

The process takes upwards of 10 weeks, so we recommend applying as soon as possible.
